This rare bronze statuette portrays an unidentified king as the moon-god Khonsu. The king is shown seated, in the traditional pose denoting that he is in power. Over his head stand both a horizontal moon crescent and a full lunar disk. The hieroglyphic inscription on the pedestal of the throne has been erased. It may be a portrait of Ramesses IV (1151-1145 BC), son and successor of the great King Ramesses III of Dynasty 20 (1185-1070 BC).
